		  GRADUATE DEGREE SEMESTER CREDIT REQUIREMENTS
		     		Approved May 6, 1999

Full-Time Credit Loads
 	Master's: 6 credits
 	Doctoral: 6 credits
Summer: 1 credit for students registered full-time in the preceding year

All supported students must register for full-time credit load.

Half-Time Credit Loads
 	Master's: 3 credits
 	Doctoral: 3 credits

The remainder of these requirements are proposed to go into effect with the
change to semesters in Fall of 2000. Note that these are minimum requirements
for the entire university. Individual departments may, and are very likely to,
make stronger requirements, just as many do now.
